Community Health Awareness, Messages, and Prevention

Community Health Awareness, Messages, and Prevention

Established in 2010, the goal of the Johns Hopkins Center to Reduce Cancer Disparities (CRCD) is to figure out the best way to give all Maryland communities equal access to cancer prevention and treatment services through research, community outreach and training. The Center works to eliminate the differences in cancer prevention, care and survivorship, known as cancer disparities, between minorities and other groups. Our community partners play an important role in our work by helping us make decisions about our research and other activities and on how to engage the community. The Center also focuses on reaching out to communities, especially underserved communities to provide education and training.
