CMPGC supported by the CDC Foundation is implementing Partnering for Vaccine Equity (P4VE) projects that focus on residents of two counties in North Carolina. In implementing the P4VE projects, CMPGC partners with African American churches and community-based organizations to train and support selected church and community members as they engage, educate, and encourage their peers to get vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza. CMPGC conducted a P4VE project from September 1, 2022-April 29, 2023, valued at $99,802, and is continuing a second P4VE project from April 30, 2023-April 29, 2024, valued at $119,455.
CMPGC team members established partnerships with churches and community-based organizations and trained and supported their selected members as Community Health Advisors in conducting for their peers COVID-19 and Influenza vaccine awareness activities and educational sessions.
